Yellowhead Update

Just a quick line to say that our yellow-head babies from this year's nesting season are doing really well in their bush aviary. They are interacting beautifully with one another, exhibiting appropriate predator response and (thank goodness) have not picked up any vocalisation during their brief time around humans. They are scheduled for release at the start of the next breeding season. There's 20 birds, but it's possible that some of the 5 with beak damage may have regrowth issues that could prevent release until we can be sure they will be fine in the wild. Okay, you got me, this blog post is just an excuse to post pictures of yellow-heads!
