Long-term effects of poor wing-clips

Twiggy is a red lored juvenile. She and her sibling Shrimp came to us in September of 2013 and they were then probably 3 or 4 months old. Twiggy and Shrimp's wing feathers had been cut right up to the bone and as a result they are now experiencing many problems associated with severe feather clips. Every 12 months a parrot has a complete change of feathers, and as Twiggy & Shrimp's wing feathers are growing in, some of them are being damaged and are breaking off, some are in-growing back into their body causing sores and infection, and some are coming through deformed. It's a very sad situation, and yet another good example of how wild-caught parrots suffer in captivity.
