Awesome Tropic Air!

Tropic Air did it again. They are the official Avian Air Rescue of Belize!

We arrived at Tropic (Municipal) to deliver a crate containing a small dove. She had come to us with a broken leg after an unfortunate encounter with a plate glass window on San Pedro, but a very fortunate rescue by Chris from ACES. After a few weeks with a splint, some great drugs and TLC, she was ready to head back to the Island Life.

Big Up to Tropic for grabbing the crate just as the San Pedro flight was about to leave, and getting her on it with absolutely no wait time at all. Chris re-released the dove and she flew off to find her mate.

And a double save for Tropic: as they were loading the dove, they off-loaded a yellow-head that had been sent over from San Pedro by her owner to start a new life on the mainland and hopefully eventual release. Meet Molly, the newest BBR flock-mate.

She is very excited at the prospect of meeting a gorgeous guy (no offence to this one, but he is not really what she's looking for!)

Watch our Facebook Page for Molly updates.
