Ceviche!

Meet Ceviche. He was rescued by 4 lovely, caring ladies: Becky, Bailey, Skylar and Claudine. They found him on the grass late at night: he was literally digging in for dear life.

When we got him back to the clinic, Dr Maas identified a musky scent on the bird that could only have been caused by a snake.

It seems Ceviche was a very fortunate bird, having just enough feathers to control his leap from the nest. Likely his younger siblings were not so lucky :-(

He is now safely snuggled with 3 other white-front babies. They will all move through the rehabilitation programme really rapidly as none of them have clipped wings.

Great save ladies!
