2015 Funding Appeal

We have long seen the need for a dedicated and purpose-built nursery and quarantine facility.

To this end, we have launched a funding campaign on Global Giving (501c3 registered).

The proposal is for a 3-room concrete structure to house water-birds, passerines (songbirds or ‘garden birds’) and of course our baby parrots.

In addition to the main nursery area, It will have a screened verandah for the pre-fledged parrots, a screened aviary for fledgling and recovering passerines and a wet-room for the water birds.

The facility will provide a secure and appropriate environment to house injured birds, downed migrants and raise the babies. It will also allow scope for expansion and additional aviaries and enclosures.

It’s a very exciting prospect for Belize Bird Rescue that we may finally have a dedicated facility to help raise and mend these amazing creatures so they can return to their life in the wild.

Please consider donating even just one dollar – and please tell your friends about us!
