Sad-looking yellowheads

We have our work cut out for us with two new arrivals. They had been inspected by the Government as part of their recent campaign to licence captive birds and impose minimum standards. These two were confiscated because of their poor physical condition and bad husbandry: their cage was extremely dirty, they were fed sunflower seeds and watermelon, and there were chickens and dogs all around them. One bird was so stressed he had removed practically all of his feathers, and the other has his own health problems. It's going to be a long road for these two, but hopefully we can turn them around.
